The footballer of the club "Ajman", Bilal Youssef, noted that the month of Ramadan provides an opportunity to spend time with family, be more relaxed and compassionate, especially considering that for the first time in many years the team does not play matches during the holy month. This helps players to be more rested and prepared for returning to competitions.
The "Al-Nassr" team played their last official match on February 27 this year, defeating "Nassr" with a score of 2:1 in the Pro League, after which they received a full week off from training. Thanks to this, all foreign players, including Bahraini Ali Muiden and Moroccan Ualida Azaru, were able to go on vacation before the team resumes its regular training sessions in preparation for the revival of the league and the match against "Al-Wasl" in round 19.
Bilal Youssef shared with "Emirates Today": "For the first time, we are not playing matches for the entire month, and this coincides with Ramadan, the month of compassion and kindness. We hope to revive this, to be devoted and kind, read the Quran and dedicate more time to children, presenting all the positive moments that they might miss due to the tight match schedule, gatherings, and trips abroad."
"Ajman" occupies eighth place in the tournament table with 25 points, leaving behind 22 points from the leading "Shabab Al-Ahli" and a total of six points from the fight for one of the top four places, where "Al-Uahda" is in third place with 31 points.
Youssef noted: "We aim to move up the table, especially since there is not a big gap in points with the teams ahead. We will seek victory in every match, giving our all to earn points, which we successfully managed in the last match against "Nasr".
Regarding the style of play of "Ajman" and the possibility of superstars controlling the game, Bilal Youssef said: "This can be considered an absolute necessity. Everyone knows about the strength of our team in the national team and the quick counter-attacks, which we have achieved success with, for example, in the last match against "Nasr", when we created many chances but did not capitalize on them; however, the most important thing is to remain match winners and earn three points."
He continued: "At the beginning of the season, "Ajman" faced difficulties due to injuries, the absence of players due to suspensions, and so on. But with the restored squad, I believe that the team has started to take a better position, corresponding to the current ambitions of the club, and we aim to occupy a higher place in the remaining matches of the current season."
