In Ajman, the Open Arm Wrestling Asian Championship has begun under the patronage of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Information. The event is organized by the Asian Arm Wrestling Federation and the UAE Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness. Taking place from December 7th to 9th, the competition will see wide participation from 25 countries and around 200 athletes, including distinguished players from the UAE (both citizens and residents). The events are scheduled to start at 11 AM next Sunday and conclude on December 9th at 9 PM. Mahmoud Khalid Al Hashimi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Information, confirmed that the tournament is a valuable addition to the emirate's sporting events, aiming to provide a comprehensive organizational experience that reflects the emirate's status. Faisal Al Ghais Al Zaabi, a member of the board of the UAE Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, revealed that the championship will feature players from various countries, not limited to Asia, as it is an open tournament organized in a unique professional style. Separately, the final rounds of the UAE President's Cup for Jujitsu will kick off the day after tomorrow at Mubadala Arena in Zayed City's sports complex. The event will see the top players from clubs and academies across the country participating, with great anticipation from fans and enthusiasts of the sport. The championship is expected to feature strong bouts for the over-18 age group, as players enter the final round with high ambitions to secure crucial points and increase their teams' chances of winning the title following their outstanding performance in the first two rounds. Sunday will be dedicated to the final bouts, bringing together the elite qualified clubs to the semi-finals and finals. Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the UAE Jujitsu Federation, stated: "The UAE President's Cup for Jujitsu holds a distinguished position among players from clubs and academies, as it is considered one of the most important and competitive stops of the season. The final round represents an ideal opportunity for players to showcase the development they have achieved over the previous rounds and to prove their readiness in one of the strongest local tournaments." Clubs enter the final round with strong chances, with Al Wahda Club continuing to maintain its leading position, while Bani Yas and Al Ain clubs have significant opportunities to compete for the title.
