Ajman Announces Sixth Government Sports Games for Ramadan

The Supreme Organizing Committee for the 'Ajman Government Sports Games' held a press conference, revealing details of the sixth edition. The games, to be held during Ramadan under the patronage of the Crown Prince of Ajman, will feature 15 diverse sports and community events for over six thousand participants.

The Supreme Organizing Committee for the 'Ajman Government Sports Games' held a press conference yesterday at the Zoraya Golf Resort and Club, revealing details of the sixth edition of the games. They will take place during the holy month of Ramadan under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Amar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council. The event is organized by the Human Resources Department of the Ajman Government in cooperation with the Quattro Sports Center. The conference was attended by the Chairman and members of the Supreme Organizing Committee, representatives of participating entities, as well as sponsors and supporting organizations. The general framework of the games, their objectives, and organizational pillars were reviewed, along with the presentation of the sports and community program. Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Ahmed Al-Raisi, confirmed that the games continue to strengthen the concepts of community sports, support healthy lifestyles, and enhance the team spirit and positive interaction among employees of government entities. He noted that holding the competitions during the month of Ramadan gives the event a social and human dimension that reinforces the values of gathering and rapprochement between participants and the public. He said: 'The Organizing Committee has focused on preparing a balanced program in terms of organization quality and activity diversity, leveraging the successes achieved in previous editions to ensure the delivery of a professional and safe sports experience that serves the sports and community objectives of the games.' Al-Raisi thanked the continuous support the games receive, emphasizing that the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman is a fundamental pillar of their sustainability and development, and enhances their presence as an annual sports and Ramadan event on the emirate's agenda, reflecting Ajman's commitment to community sports and quality of life. In turn, Director of Tournaments and Programs, Abdulaziz Abdullah, stated that the sixth edition includes 15 championships and events, as well as a sports and community program designed to cater to the interests of a wide segment of government employees and community members, reflecting the broad scope and development of the games. He added: 'The program includes championships in football, beach volleyball, paddle tennis, men's running, traditional games, crossfit, camel racing, obstacle course, in addition to a new electronic football championship for PlayStation, as well as community events including the Ramadan Village, a women's fitness program, and Zayed Day for Humanitarian Work.' He expects the number of participants in the current edition to exceed six thousand, reflecting the growing interest and development the games have seen since their inception. In turn, Director of Content at the Government of Ajman Media Office, the event's media partner, Mohammed Hassan Al-Shehi, confirmed that the event represents a comprehensive model for utilizing sports and community events to enhance quality of life and promote a culture of positive participation in a Ramadan atmosphere that combines sports competition with social values.
