Recently, the Ajman team showed improved results, and the club's defender, Ualid al-Yamahi, revealed that a "honest conversation" took place behind this progress, although they had some difficulties at the beginning of the season. After the fourth round, the team held an honest conversation, during which the footballers were obliged not to lose at home or in any game. "We really managed to earn seven points in the last three matches of the championship, as well as beat the Hurfakan team in the President's Cup. We will work with such a setup until the end of the season, because our goal is to finish the season in the top six of the championship," said Ualid.
Regarding the return of Goran's trainer to the Ajman team, the defender noted: "The positive atmosphere in the club has been helping any new trainer or player achieve success for some time now. The last 10 seasons show that all the trainers who worked in the club achieved significant results thanks to the efforts of the administration, providing them with all the necessary conditions for success."
Asked about Ajman's chances in the President's Cup after the team faces Shabab Al-Ahli, Ualid said: "This is, without a doubt, a difficult match for us as well as for them. The chances of success in such matches are always equal, regardless of the differences in team quality, because it's just one game, unlike the championship, which requires consistency and endurance."
He noted that open clubs of the Professional League of the Arab Emirates attract foreign players to the left-back position, leading to a reduced opportunity for local players in this position in recent years. "At the beginning of the current season, Ajman signed a contract with the Moroccan defender Mohamd Spul, increasing the competition for the position among three players. All of them apply maximum efforts to secure a place in the main squad of the team."
Ualid confirmed his full readiness to return to play after a long break due to injury. "I joined the team in the external gathering and took part in several friendly matches. At the start of the new season, I was not counted as the Serbian trainer Goran, who mostly relied on the Moroccan defender Mohamd and Saudi Saeed, taking my position," added the defender.
