The global technology company e& has achieved exceptional brand value growth this year and secured the first place in the ranking of "The Fastest Growing Brand in the World" according to the Brand Finance Global 500 Brand 2025 report, published today during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The recognition reflects an outstanding growth in brand value compared to the previous year, reaching a historic record of 15.3 billion US dollars for e& as a standalone brand. This success has been the outcome of a threefold transformation, during which e& successfully merged its historic brand "Etisalat" under a unified identity.
Significant growth in the brand portfolio and the value of e&'s investments in the 2025 report was fueled by an increase in investments and the portfolio, exceeding 20 billion US dollars, including PTCL (Pakistan), Mobily (Saudi Arabia), and the acquisition of a controlling stake (50 percent plus one economic share) in service and infrastructure companies PPF Telecom Group.
This growth was reinforced by the integration of the historic brand Etisalat and organic annual growth of e& at 13 percent on a consolidated basis. Despite its relatively young age, e& quickly positioned itself as a technological giant, including five distinct business verticals, facilitating its growth and innovation.
Amid focusing on the empowerment of physical entities, businesses, and communities in 38 countries, e& created a powerful ecosystem, termed "Fueling Growth," to foster innovation and create opportunities for a brighter, more connected future.
e& also ranks in the Top 10 of the most valuable telecommunications brands in the Global 500 Brand 2025 ranking. Additionally, the brand e& received a Brand Strength Index (BSI) rating of AAA with a score of 84.6 out of 100.
e&, presented within the frameworks of group strategic transformation, reflects a forward-looking vision, stepping beyond the bounds of traditional telecommunications. The company subsequently receives recognition in its home market, including from Kantar BrandZ, which named it the most valuable brand in the UAE in November 2024.
The Global 500 2025 report again recognized Hatem Dowidar as "Telecommunications CEO of the Year" for the third consecutive time. In the 2025 ranking, he secured an overall 39th place and the first place in the telecommunications sector.
