Dubai's commercial transport sector has experienced a significant 34% growth in 2024, increasing from 9,000 to 12,100 companies, reflecting economic progress and ambitious transport strategies.

In 2024, Dubai's commercial transport sector demonstrated significant growth: the number of companies engaged in this industry increased from 9,000 to 12,100, which constitutes a growth of 34% compared to the previous year. The total number of registered transport means in the commercial and logistics transport sector exceeded 400,000, reflecting an increase of more than 100,000 vehicles and a growth of 31%.

According to His Excellency Mattar Al-Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), these achievements have resulted from the introduction of RTA’s highest international practices, improved commercial licensing, and the establishment of a thorough regulatory and managerial structure for transport and rental activities. Al-Tayer emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships and the implementation of targeted initiatives to enhance services in vehicle leasing and promote more scalable transport projects.

He also noted that these initiatives are outlined within the framework of the "Dubai Land Transport Strategy 2030 in the Commerce and Logistics Sphere," which aims to increase the sector's direct contribution to the emirate's economy to 16.8 billion dirhams, enhance technology applications in the infrastructure of the sector by 75%, reduce carbon emissions by 30%, and increase operational efficiency by 10%.
