Responding to the question about profits, a representative of a major retail store, Hasan Rizk, stated that some products have a very low profitability, especially basic goods, and conducting promotions on them leads to losses for retail points. Rizk also added that strong competition between stores requires constant expansion of the product assortment taking into account consumer expectations.

The results of the research, conducted by "Emirates Today" in large retail stores, showed that in 2024 promotional offerings will fall into both essential and non-essential goods, including food products and household items. In the same year, an increase in the diversity of products was noted compared to previous years, when such products were promoted much less.

The research also indicated that some trade marks are still firmly holding on to discounted promotional offerings, although in 2024 this list had new brands added. Consumer opinions were heard, and in 2025 they expressed hope that promotional offerings would include those products that rarely participate in promotions, including fresh dairy, meat, and household appliances.
