
In the "Dubai-South" area - the largest project of urban development, focused on aviation, logistics, and real estate - in 2024, 415 new companies were registered. This brings the total number of operating companies in this area to 4044, maintaining a retention rate of 94%.
As reported by the company "Dubai-South" in its statement yesterday, in the past year, the business center leased 500 thousand square feet of office space, which is 300% more than in 2023.
Within this area, the company "Dubai-South for Real Estate" has completed the first phase of the "Pluse Beach" project, which includes over 200 units, and is preparing to deliver another 500 units by the end of the first half of 2025.
To satisfy the growing demand for residential apartments in the market, the company also launched the project "South Living," which was fully sold, and construction began after the selection of the contractor.
In the past year, the "James Founders" school opened, which has attracted over 500 students.
Additionally, an agreement was signed with "BT Properties" - the largest private investor in Asia - for the development of a gated residential community on the golf course in "Dubai-South."
In turn, the logistics district in "Dubai-South" has achieved significant accomplishments in the past year, reinforcing its vital role in supporting the logistics sector in the country. Among these achievements are the opening of a regional air and cargo center for the company "Fedex," a regional distribution center for "Boston Scientific" at the "Helmann Caliber Health Care Logistics" facility, and the start of work on a new project for the company "Danata Logistics."
Thanks to cooperation with "EVE Autonomous Vehicles," the first stage of testing autonomous transport vehicles in the UAE was successfully completed. The "Mahammeda bin Rashid Aviation Project" signed several agreements with renowned companies in the aviation sector to strengthen their positions in the project.
The acting director of the Dubai Aviation and "Dubai-South" company Khalifa al-Zafrin stated: "The attraction of new companies and the continued retention of outstanding performance indicators reflects the trust that the business community places in the 'Dubai-South' area." He added: "Our continuous success in aviation, logistics, and real estate strengthens our role in supporting the government's vision, strategies for economic diversification, and future development plans."
