In the accompanying press release, the company announced that the foreign vessel with a cargo capacity of 15,000 TEU named MV Houston Express signals the beginning of a new era in the history of the Gemini network and the launch of operational service through the Indian Ocean to strengthen connections between the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East, as well as between Southern and Northern Europe.
In this regard, Dubai World Ports and the senior management of Hapag-Lloyd are organizing a special arrival at the Port of Jebel Ali. Gemini Corporation is a transformational partnership between Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk, focused on creating a fast maritime network through seven trade corridors that includes 57 traditional and short shipping routes, servicing around 340 modern vessels, many of which aim to transition to more sustainable fuels.
