Maruan Al-Zarauni, General Director of Artificial Intelligence of Dubai's Department of Economic Development and Tourism, spoke about the role of Dubai's leadership in accelerating digital transformation and the importance of using modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, for the development of sectors such as finance, logistics, and management.
At the second session titled "Global Economic Landscape: Challenges and Opportunities," US Ambassador to the UAE Martin Streng emphasized his vision for accelerating growth and the experience of American companies in Dubai, underscoring Dubai's importance as a hub for doing business with Africa, Europe, and Asia.
Rosten Benham, Chair of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, discussed the balance between regulation and attracting companies in the field of artificial intelligence, noting that the motivation for entrepreneurs to establish their own companies often does not align with the perspectives of the regulatory side concerning risk management and security.
Dr. Karim Al-Salah, founder and General Director of Gulf Capital, explained how "Gulf Capital" has invested in artificial intelligence to the extent that it has become widely used terminology and a well-understood concept. He also highlighted Dubai's priorities, including increasing investment in the industrial sector, boosting exports, sustainability, and strengthening Dubai's positioning as a leading global logistics hub, as well as one of the four main financial centers globally with a focus on business, family, and tourism.
Nihal Badri, General Secretary of the Dubai Information Council, expressed joy over the successful conference "Rising Dubai: Building the Steel Structure of Future Global Business," emphasizing that the conference has become a strategic platform uniting leaders, experts, and practitioners for envisioning the future of business in Dubai and strengthening its position as a global hub for innovation.
