flydubai Achieves Record Performance with Significant Bonuses

Flydubai has reported impressive financial results with the total revenue increasing by 15% to reach AED 12.8 billion (USD 3.5 billion) compared to AED 11.2 billion (USD 3 billion) in the previous year. This notable growth has resulted in the airline awarding its employees bonuses as a gesture of appreciation and motivation. The bonuses were granted under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of flydubai, demonstrating the company's commitment to recognizing and incentivizing its workforce to maintain its success.

The payout, which amounts to 20 weeks' salary, stands out as one of the most generous in the aviation sector, highlighting flydubai's robust financial performance and dedication to employee welfare as a means to drive sustainable growth and profitability. The airline's success in 2024 can be attributed to factors such as the increasing demand for travel, expansion of its network, and strategic improvements in operational efficiency and passenger services.

Flydubai's operational growth was particularly notable last year, supported by fleet expansion and the addition of new destinations, which positively impacted its overall financial and operational efficiency. The airline's workforce has also grown, with a total of 6,089 employees benefiting from the recent bonus announcement.

In addition to rewarding its employees, flydubai continues to invest in internal capabilities and training programs aimed at further enhancing its operations. This includes initiatives focused on developing the Emirati workforce, engineering training programs, and national development programs. As a result of these efforts, the company achieved its highest-ever profitability, reporting a pre-tax net profit of AED 2.5 billion (USD 674 million) in 2024, representing a 16% increase from the previous year.
