Emirates Airlines Expands Routes in Asia

The largest international airline in the world, Emirates, is preparing to strengthen its position on the Asian continent by launching daily direct flights between Dubai and Chinese Shenzhen starting July 1, 2025. The airline will also begin operating four weekly flights to Danang in Vietnam starting June 2, and three weekly flights to Siem Reap in Cambodia starting June 3, with both destinations being connected via Bangkok, Thailand.

The addition of these three destinations denotes Emirates' leadership in the largest and most diverse network of routes among non-Asian airlines in the East Asia region. Currently, Emirates offers 269 weekly flights from Dubai to 24 countries. The expansion of the airline's network represents a significant enhancement of Emirates' footprint in the Chinese market, with a third destination in Vietnam and a second in Cambodia.

"We continue to be committed to providing unrivaled access for business travelers and those traveling to Southeast and East Asia even more broadly through an expanded flight schedule. Expanding our operations in Shenzhen represents a new opportunity for bolstering trade and economic cooperation between this technological hub and global markets," noted Vice President and Chief Executive of Commercial Operations at Emirates, Adnan Kazim.

He also added: "Vietnam holds strategic importance within our network directed at Southeast Asia, and our decision to expand operations in Danang, as the third point of call in Vietnam, comes at an ideal time following the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and Vietnam. We are confident that our new service will contribute to strengthening trade partnerships and economic exchanges between countries and would like to express gratitude to our local partners and the international airport in Danang for their unwavering support."
