Dubai Signs MoU with AI Center Hamburg to Boost Innovation

The purpose of this partnership is to support talented entrepreneurs and creative business representatives, as well as to assist companies in developing and launching new products and services in Dubai, establishing the emirate as a global business hub, where innovative technologies for creating the future are formulated, tested, and implemented.

Krtile stated: "Through this partnership, we open new opportunities for companies and institutions for joint work and bringing to market advanced technologies. This will provide a platform for innovators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from all countries to exchange knowledge and experience in implementing artificial intelligence in desert environments.

A memorandum of cooperation between MFM and ARIC has been signed, making it the first partnership under which the Dubai Sandbox entered into a partnership with an overseas partner. This partnership will allow Dubai to attract leading innovators in the field of artificial intelligence and businesses from Europe for testing new technologies in the regulatory sandbox of the emirate, thus strengthening its position as a global center for artificial intelligence development.

ARIC is one of the leading centers for artificial intelligence in Europe, uniting experts from business, science, and society for knowledge exchange in the field of artificial intelligence. According to the agreement, MFM and ARIC will exchange knowledge and connect innovators and companies that work in the field of deep technologies from the UAE and Germany.

DFM will provide access to the Dubai Sandbox, a platform that helps businesses test their products and services in a regulated environment, with the aim of accelerating the adoption of new technologies. The Sandbox was launched in 2024 as part of Dubai's Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to enhance the emirate's economy over the next decade.

Abdulaziz Al-Jaziri, Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of MFM, signed the memorandum on cooperation with the General Director of ARIC, Alois Krtile. Al-Jaziri stated: "The Dubai Sandbox is designed to strengthen the regulatory and innovative ecosystem of Dubai by identifying prospective opportunities, promoting innovations and collaborative work with public and private partners to develop forward-looking regulations that support their operations and future projects."

He added: "Through this partnership with the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Hamburg, we aim to present the Dubai Sandbox to global markets and stimulate international cooperation in the field of regulatory innovations. This creates stronger ties between two leading innovation centers and contributes to mutual development."
