The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates has launched an online platform called “Save Time. Go Online” to simplify the contract verification process for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). Managed by the DMW’s Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai, the system aims to enhance efficiency and convenience for OFWs by enabling them to submit their contract details online. This new online service is designed to complement the existing verification methods, such as walk-ins and appointments.
Since its introduction in June 2022, the online system has successfully processed approximately 42,000 contract verifications, significantly reducing waiting times and expediting compliance procedures for workers. OFWs are encouraged to utilize the online portal available on the MWO Dubai website and stay updated via the official MWO Dubai Facebook page.
On the designated collection date, OFWs can complete their payments and retrieve their documents in a brief window of five to fifteen minutes, minimizing the need for extended in-person visits. The system is accessible to all OFWs holding valid visas from Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac of Migrant Workers emphasized that this initiative aligns with the government's digitalization efforts spearheaded by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Cacdac stressed that this online platform is part of the ongoing initiatives to enhance services for OFWs, particularly those employed in domestic and low-skilled sectors. The system enables OFWs to submit necessary documents such as work contracts, passports, visas, or Emirates IDs through a dedicated online form. Submissions are accepted from Monday at 8:00 AM until Wednesday at 11:59 PM, or until all available slots are filled.
Following the submission, MWO Dubai will promptly process the applications within a two-week timeframe and inform the workers via email once their contract verifications have been approved.
