The president of MGM Resorts, Bill Hornbuckle, announced to investors during a conference call for the first quarter on April 30 that the project in Dubai will be completed by the third quarter of 2027. The building, known as 'The Island' or 'Ostriv', will include the combined three subsidiaries of MGM Resorts: ARIA, MGM, and Bellagio, in a beachfront resort with 1,400 rooms.
The project is currently located on the fifth floor of the MGM tower. According to Hornbuckle, this project is the result of two decades of the company’s efforts to strengthen its position in the UAE.
