New Name for Dubai Metro Station: Life Pharmacy

Dubai's UAE Exchange Metro Station will be officially renamed to Life Pharmacy Metro Station as part of the RTA’s naming rights initiative. The change promotes public-private partnerships.

During the signing ceremony of the agreement, the company Mada Media was also present as the appointed concessionaire, designated RTA. This step is recorded in the RTA Dubai Metro Naming Rights initiative, launched in 2009 to provide private companies the opportunity to invest in the naming of metro stations as part of a long-term marketing strategy.

The Director General of the RTA Rail Agency, Abdullatif Mohammed Ibrahim Kalbat, emphasized that this partnership demonstrates how the government collaborates with private companies to support economic development. 'RTA strives to establish successful partnerships with the private sector, considering its important role in stimulating national economic growth and contributing to GDP.'

The UAE Exchange metro station in Dubai will soon receive a new name — it will now be called Life Pharmacy Metro Station. The updated name will begin to appear on all signage, applications, and train announcements from May until the end of August 2025, as part of the official process of rebranding the station. This renaming took place after the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) officially granted naming rights to Life Pharmacy Group and Hypermedia for 10 years.

'Even this successful model of public-private partnership facilitates the sharing of knowledge and experience, creating jobs in various sectors and supporting a broader government development program,' he highlighted.
