This step is recorded in the RTA Dubai Metro Naming Rights initiative, launched in 2009 to provide private companies the opportunity to invest in the naming of metro stations as part of a long-term marketing strategy.
The Director General of the RTA Rail Agency, Abdullatif Mohammed Ibrahim Kalbat, emphasized that this partnership demonstrates how the government collaborates with private companies to support economic development. The UAE Exchange metro station in Dubai will soon receive a new name — it will now be called Life Pharmacy Metro Station. The updated name will begin to appear on all signage, applications, and train announcements from May until the end of August 2025, as part of the official process of rebranding the station. This renaming took place after the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) officially granted naming rights to Life Pharmacy Group and Hypermedia for 10 years.
