According to the official statement, the Dubai Financial Market and Nasdaq Dubai, Hamad Ali, as well as the Chairman of the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Sherman Lin, signed a memorandum of mutual understanding. This happened within the framework of the third capital markets summit for the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, which is one of the key events organized by the Dubai Financial Market.
The negotiations between the parties are aimed at exploring the possibilities of mutual placement of financial instruments and products in both markets. In particular, the plans include discussing exchange-traded index funds and equity products, as well as joint efforts to engage with investors, exchanging insights and experiences through regular dialogue and mutual visits.
Hamad Ali noted: "We are pleased to strengthen our relations with the Taiwan Stock Exchange through a new memorandum of mutual understanding, which will continue our successful participation in supporting cross-border access and providing broader access to a wide range of investors from different global regions to financial markets."
Sherman Lin commented accordingly: "Through the memorandum of mutual understanding with the Dubai Financial Market, we lay the foundation for easier placement of financial products in both markets. Additionally, the exchanges plan to collaborate in promoting their markets to strengthen local investor engagement and facilitate mutual visits and joint events for exchanging knowledge and experiences in the future."
