Dubai hotels record over 94% occupancy in November, with five-star and beachfront properties leading the demand. Dubai International Airport also sets a new passenger seat record.

Dubai hotels achieve record occupancy in November

Data from specialized online hotel booking platforms have shown that hotels in Dubai achieved high occupancy rates in the current November, which is known for a series of major exhibitions. It is reported that over 94% of rooms listed on these sites were booked. During this time, five-star hotels recorded the highest booking rates, especially beachfront or those located in prime areas. According to data seen by 'Emirates Today', seven areas recorded high bookings throughout November, with a significant portion of available rooms on booking sites sold out in areas such as 'Downtown Dubai', 'Jumeirah Beach Residence', 'Palm Jumeirah', 'Sheikh Zayed Road', 'Dubai Marina', and 'Al Barsha'. The data showed a sell-out rate of between 95% and 97% in these areas. Beachfront hotels, including those overlooking the coast, and luxury five-star properties maintained the highest demand, with the vast majority of available rooms being sold out at a rate of 97%. Hotel apartments also recorded high demand during this period. This data includes hotel rooms available exclusively on online platforms and does not necessarily reflect the total hotel capacity in the emirate or rooms sold through other electronic channels or via direct bookings. Meanwhile, airlines have scheduled 5.3 million seats at Dubai International Airport (10.6 million in total) for the current November, a 5% increase compared to the same period last year. This makes Dubai International the world's busiest airport for international seat capacity and surpasses its American counterpart, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta, in the overall index (including domestic flights). This surge in demand for Dubai comes during the leisure and business tourism season, as the emirate hosts major exhibitions and events this November, such as the Dubai Airshow (November 17-21), The Big 5 (November 24-27), Gulfood Manufacturing (November 4-6), the Dubai Future Forum, the world's largest gathering of future design experts and institutions on November 18-19 at the Museum of the Future, and a host of other important exhibitions and conferences. Earlier, hotel and tourism sector managers and employees told 'Emirates Today' that Dubai is experiencing a vibrant tourist season in the fourth quarter of this year and is on track to set a record across all indicators. They pointed out that confirmed future bookings for the fourth quarter of this year are up to 30% higher than last year, noting that the emirate continues to solidify its position as one of the world's top tourist destinations with strong and growing performance based on a vision of diversity, innovation, and continuous investment in infrastructure and global events. Recently, the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department revealed the latest statistics on the tourism sector's performance and the number of international visitors, showing that the emirate attracted 13.95 million international tourists in the first nine months of this year, compared to 13.29 million in the same period of 2024, a growth of about 5%.
