The Compliance Committee for the Accounting and Auditing Profession at the Ministry of Economy and Tourism announced the results of its work from July 2024 to August 2025. These efforts resulted in 20 disciplinary decisions, ranging from warnings and fines to suspensions, against a number of accounting firms and certified public accountants licensed by the ministry. The total financial penalties imposed on these firms and accountants during this period amounted to 2.5 million dirhams, with 7 cases being suspended from practicing the profession. The Committee confirmed that these measures are part of the state's efforts to enhance the professional governance framework and oversight of the accounting and auditing sector, thereby reinforcing transparency.
