Emirates has urged all its customers to plan their travel in advance for December, as the airline expects a significant increase in travel volume throughout the month. This is due to the start of the winter tourism season, numerous local events and public holidays, as well as a recent adjustment to the academic calendar issued by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, which grants students an extended holiday for most of December. Emirates also advised passengers to anticipate potential congestion on roads leading to Dubai Airport, full parking lots, and increased activity within the airport facilities. The airline expects to serve over 2.3 million departing and over 2.5 million arriving passengers through its network during the month. Emirates recommended that passengers arrive early at the airport, at least 3 hours before their flight's departure, to complete travel procedures and reach the correct departure gate at least one hour before the flight. The airline also advised downloading the Emirates app, completing travel procedures electronically, enrolling in the biometric system for a faster experience at the airport, checking in baggage at a travel store or the Dubai Financial Centre to earn Skywards miles, dropping off baggage at the airport 24 hours before departure, and ensuring that luggage complies with Emirates' requirements.
