Dubai Sets New Tourist Record in 2025

Dubai welcomed 15.7 million international tourists in the first ten months of 2025, a 5% increase from the previous year. Western Europe and the Gulf region were the main tourist sources, with hotel occupancy reaching 79.4% and hotel revenues rising.

Dubai welcomed 15.7 million international tourists in the first ten months of 2025, a record figure, marking a 5% increase compared to the same period in 2024 (14.96 million tourists). In October 2025 alone, the city received approximately 1.75 million tourists, averaging over 56,400 tourists per day. According to data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Western Europe was the top source region for visitors to Dubai, accounting for 21% of the total number of guests (over 3.26 million international tourists), followed by the Gulf Cooperation Council countries with 16% (around 2.5 million tourists). South Asia ranked third with a share of about 15% (2.33 million tourists), while Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Eastern Europe accounted for 15% (over 2.27 million tourists). The Middle East and North Africa recorded 1.74 million tourists, representing 11% of the total, while countries in Northern and Southeast Asia held a 9% share (1.47 million tourists). The Americas collectively contributed 7% (around 1.1 million tourists), Africa accounted for 4% (698,000 tourists), and Australasia captured a 2% share (329,000 tourists).

By the end of October 2025, Dubai had over 152,800 hotel rooms across 820 establishments, compared to 152,500 rooms in 827 properties at the end of October 2024. The average occupancy rate across all operational hotels in Dubai from January to October 2025 was 79.4%, up from 77% during the same period in 2024. Luxury five-star hotel rooms constituted 36% of Dubai's hotel market, totaling approximately 55,000 rooms in 172 establishments. This was followed by four-star rooms with a 28% share (around 43,200 rooms in 193 properties). Three-star and two-star hotels held a 19% market share (exceeding 29,100 rooms in 276 establishments), while serviced apartments accounted for 17% (around 25,500 rooms in 179 properties).

The average length of stay for guests in Dubai's hotels at the end of October 2025 was 3.6 nights, the same as during the same period in 2024. The total number of room nights booked reached approximately 36.7 million, compared to 35.1 million in the comparative period, a growth of 4%. The average daily rate for a hotel room in Dubai reached 531 dirhams by the end of October 2025, a 6% increase from 502 dirhams in the same period last year. The average revenue per available room (RevPAR) stood at 421 dirhams at the end of September 2025, an increase of about 9% from 386 dirhams in the same period of the previous year.
