UAE Minister of Economy and Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri confirmed that the 54th Union Day this year is marked by exceptional economic and tourism achievements that reflect the wise leadership and the strength of the union. The UAE led economic growth in Gulf Cooperation Council countries, achieving a real GDP growth of 4.2% in the first half of 2025. The non-oil sector grew by 5.7%, its share reaching 77.5% of GDP. From January to November 2025, over 220,186 new companies and 36,000 national and international brands were registered in the country. The ministry issued 11 laws and 8 regulatory decisions to enhance economic competitiveness. In the tourism sector, significant achievements were noted: the UAE ranked among the top 7 global destinations in international tourist spending. Hotel performance for the first 9 months showed growth: 23.27 million guests, 79.3 million hotel nights, and revenues exceeding 35.9 billion dirhams. The minister emphasized the historical significance of the unification of the seven emirates under one flag and reaffirmed the commitment to achieve the goals of the 'We the UAE 2031' vision.
