The Ministry of Finance has signed the third agreement under the 'Sukuk al-Afrad' (Individual Sukuk) initiative with Emirates Islamic Bank. The initiative aims to empower citizens by enabling them to invest in sovereign sukuk.
The signing of the agreement is part of the government's efforts to diversify funding sources and expand private investors' access to government financial instruments. Emirates Islamic Bank will act as one of the distributors of these sukuk for retail investors.
'This initiative opens new opportunities for citizens, allowing them to directly contribute to the country's development,' the ministry stated in a press release.
