The Ministry of Finance has announced the selection of Amna Hassan Al-Shamsi, Director of the Financial Policy and Government Accounting Standards Department, as a member of the Consultative Advisory Group (CAG) of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) for a 3-year period, renewable for up to 9 years. This selection is a new national achievement, as Amna Al-Shamsi is the first Emirati to join the membership of this international group, reflecting the UAE's leading role in developing global financial and governmental accounting standards. This appointment marks the first official representation of the state in this international group, which is dedicated to supporting the development of accounting standards.
