IAN, a renewable energy company fully owned by the UAE's AG Holding, has signed a strategic distribution partnership with the Chinese company DMEGC Solar. This marks DMEGC's first official expansion into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The collaboration between IAN and DMEGC will capitalize on the massive solar photovoltaic market in the GCC countries, valued at approximately 24 billion dirhams (6.53 billion dollars). The UAE is making substantial investments in solar energy projects as part of its clean energy strategy, including allocating a budget of 198 billion dirhams (54 billion dollars) under the National Energy Strategy.
