Institutions and companies in the United Arab Emirates have begun restructuring their operational models to involve national talents within core business units and strategic roles. This is in preparation for the 2026 localization requirements, according to Pedro Lascerda, Group Vice President for Task, a specialized recruitment firm. Lascerda stated that companies are now adopting a more organized and strategic approach, reflecting a practical shift in the way citizens are engaged in the workplace. Practical changes include appointing a dedicated localization manager within the human resources department and linking national hiring targets with annual workforce planning. He added that many companies have already identified critical positions for evaluation.
