Autonomous Robots Revolutionize Delivery in Dubai

Yango and noon launch autonomous robot deliveries in Dubai, supporting the UAE's smart mobility goals with sustainable, AI-powered solutions.

Autonomous Robots Revolutionize Delivery in Dubai

A new era of delivery is arriving in Dubai, as autonomous robots begin completing real orders for customers and transforming how everyday items reach our homes. These robots have already completed over 1,500 kilometers of fully autonomous travel in earlier Dubai pilots, proving their ability to operate safely in real residential environments. The initiative follows approval from Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), allowing autonomous delivery robots to operate on public walkways and within neighborhoods. Yango Group, a global tech company, and noon, the region's leading e-commerce platform, have partnered to launch and scale autonomous robot deliveries across the GCC. Fully electric delivery robots from Yango Autonomy are now completing noon Minutes orders. This highlights Dubai's commitment to innovative mobility solutions. The collaboration supports the UAE's broader goals for smart mobility, increased autonomous transport, and lower urban emissions. It reflects a growing shift toward advanced digital city infrastructure, where AI-powered mobility helps make everyday life easier for both residents and businesses. It's a simple, contactless, and modern way to receive essentials. The service will first expand across communities in Dubai, with plans to grow further across the UAE and the wider GCC. Customers can select the robot option at checkout, track it on the map in real time, and unlock its secure compartment using their smartphone. This approach will be guided by real operational data and customer feedback.

"Together with noon, we see this as a step toward making autonomous delivery a reliable everyday service in the UAE," added Islam Abdul Karim, Regional Head, Yango Group Middle East.

"By combining our AI-powered delivery expertise with noon’s strong e-commerce presence, we can support smarter, more sustainable urban mobility."

"Partnering with Yango Group lets us bring a future-ready delivery option straight to our customers," said Ali Kafil-Hussain, Chief Business Officer at noon.
