Dubai has introduced new safety rules for transporting e‑scooters on public transport, covering buses, metro and tram services. The regulations set maximum dimensions of 120 cm by 70 cm by 40 cm and require scooters to be securely fastened with approved straps and fixing points. Riding on platforms, pedestrian bridges or charging at metro and tram stations is prohibited. No more than two scooters may be carried per journey, and they must be placed only in designated areas inside the vehicle. Riders are urged to follow traffic laws, use designated paths, wear helmets, reflective vests and bright clothing, and keep a safe distance. These measures aim to enhance safety and comfort for all public‑transport users.
