«مِراس» (Miras), a subsidiary of «دبي القابضة للعقارات» (Dubai Properties Group), has unveiled the expanded master plan for Dubai Design District (d3), aiming to transform the district into one of Dubai's most attractive and creative waterfront communities.
Along the canal, the first zone will feature contemporary homes and luxury hotels overlooking a vibrant waterfront promenade. The expanded master plan, designed and developed by «مِراس», offers a diverse mix of residential, cultural, retail, and hospitality experiences, enhancing Dubai's ambition to solidify its position as a global hub for design, innovation, and culture, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
The master plan also targets a Silver Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by promoting sustainable mobility, enhancing connectivity within the district, implementing energy-efficient design, and integrating with the landscape, including its visual connection to Dubai Creek and the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary.
Five distinct zones will define the district's new character. The fourth zone will provide a health and wellness-focused environment, featuring gardens, sports facilities, and a landscape inspired by Aleppo pines. The fifth zone will serve as a creativity hub, housing exhibition galleries, studios, and loft-style workspaces to foster collaboration and artistic production.
On this occasion, the CEO of «دبي القابضة للعقارات», Khalid Al Malik, stated: "The expanded master plan for Dubai Design District and its transformation into a comprehensive creative district mark a significant step towards achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33)."
The expansion also meets the growing market demand following the strong performance of recently launched projects and the increasing interest from local and international buyers seeking waterfront residential communities with full amenities and a distinctive, modern design.
A key highlight of the new master plan is the 'Design Line,' a fully shaded pedestrian corridor that seamlessly connects all areas of Dubai Design District. This promenade comes to life through public art installations, creative activities, community spaces, and coordinated green walkways, promoting a pedestrian-friendly lifestyle and reinforcing d3's identity as one of Dubai's most innovative urban districts.
This project will enhance Dubai Design District's status as a global benchmark for modern, innovative urban living, further cementing Dubai's position as a preferred destination for long-term investment, talent attraction, and innovation.
The project is gaining momentum, with the residential launches by «مِراس» in d3 recently attracting exceptional interest. This includes the rapid sale of units in 'Atelier,' a waterfront residential complex comprising 280 units, and the successful launch of 'The Edit,' a distinctive three-tower project featuring 557 modern residential units.
With its refreshed vision, new residential projects, and unique creative identity, the expanded master plan will solidify Dubai Design District's status as one of Dubai's most inspiring and innovative design districts—a place where creativity shapes daily life and serves as a haven for creators from around the world.
The project aims to create a contemporary residential environment overlooking Dubai Creek, complete with cultural zones, public green spaces, and urban pedestrian streets within a fully integrated community that empowers global talents to live, work, and innovate.
The expanded master plan for Dubai Design District is located between Downtown Dubai and Dubai Creek, spanning an area of 18 million square feet.
The second zone, serving as the community's urban heart, will merge carefully curated residences, retail, and dining options with a global business ecosystem specializing in design and creativity.
The third zone will form the district's cultural nucleus, featuring dedicated spaces for performing arts and mid-rise residences overlooking the 'D3 Ball' stadium.
