The 'Smart Water Distribution Management System' contributes to enhancing the competitiveness and global distinction of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) by reducing water network losses and improving operational efficiency. Last year, the system helped increase the number of pressure monitoring devices in distribution pipelines to 205 and the number of automatic valves that allow for remote control of the distribution network to 198. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, stated that effective water and asset management, along with improved automation and operational efficiency, have resulted in the water network loss rate in Dubai reaching 4.5%, the lowest in the world.
