The founders of «Scalable», a company specializing in the creator economy, Kaya Yureef and Jasmine Inberg, have called for a «global unified dictionary for the creator economy». They emphasized that the sector is undergoing a rapid phase of maturity that requires such a dictionary as a fundamental pillar to regulate this economy and measure its real impact. This was announced during a session titled «A Direct Dialogue with Kaya Yureef and Jasmine Inberg», as part of the fourth «Billion Followers Summit», which concluded yesterday in Dubai. Kaya Yureef noted that the Middle East region was one of the first to adopt digital technologies and the creator economy, driven by the nature of its organized media landscape. She pointed out that the lack of unified definitions for concepts like creator, influencer, and the creator economy limits the ability to measure the sector's size and build effective economic models for it. She stressed that unifying terminology is a pivotal step to ensure sustainable and systematic growth for this economy. Meanwhile, Jasmine Inberg stated that deep engagement metrics, such as comments, shares, and saves, have become the most accurate for measuring creators' performance, as they reflect users' real behavior on social media platforms. She also highlighted that the Middle East has become a globally advanced center for the creator economy thanks to its high level of professionalism and organization.
