Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) confirmed that, as the exclusive electricity provider in Dubai, it has developed an integrated network of charging stations to encourage the public to acquire eco-friendly vehicles. This aligns with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050. Wadha Al-Zammi, a senior specialist in the Smart Grid for DEWA's 'Green Charger' project, stated that the Authority launched the 'Green Charger' initiative in 2015 to establish and develop the infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations across the emirate.
