The Planning and Development Licensing Department, the regulatory arm of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, in collaboration with its strategic partner Dubai Holding, conducted a joint field inspection targeting several commercial areas in Dubai's special development zones. This initiative is part of ongoing regulatory efforts to ensure full compliance with laws and regulations governing commercial activities and to enhance the system of compliance and governance in the markets. Engineer Abdullah Al-Houl, CEO of the department, stated that these periodic campaigns aim to verify the extent of commercial establishments' compliance with approved legal and regulatory requirements, as well as to detect and control any violations or irregular practices that may negatively affect the business environment.
