UAE and FlyDubai Expand Fleet and Network

UAE's Emirates and FlyDubai announce major investments to expand their fleets and networks for 2025. Emirates signed a massive contract for new Airbus and Boeing aircraft, increasing its destinations to 286. FlyDubai also ordered 150 Airbus A321neo and 75 Boeing 737 MAX planes, strengthening its international presence. These moves aim to boost competition and meet the growing demand for air travel in and out of the region.


UAE and FlyDubai Expand Fleet and Network

The UAE is expanding its aviation presence. In 2025, FlyDubai launched 13 new destinations. In November 2025, FlyDubai signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus to purchase 150 A321neo aircraft, becoming a new Airbus customer with a $24 billion order. The company also signed a MoU with Boeing to purchase 75 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft valued at $13 billion. The partnership between Emirates and FlyDubai connects millions of passengers through a global network, offering lucrative benefits to members of the Emirates Skywards loyalty program. Emirates operates passenger and cargo flights to 151 destinations in 79 countries. FlyDubai operates a fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft, including 26 new-generation Boeing 737-800s. Emirates and FlyDubai have increased their combined destinations to 286, operating a fleet of 369 aircraft. According to data, Emirates operates flights to 151 destinations in 79 countries with a fleet of 272 aircraft, while FlyDubai serves 135 destinations in 57 countries with a fleet of 97 aircraft. Emirates began receiving 16 new Airbus A350-900 aircraft in November 2024 as part of an order for 65 aircraft. Emirates' total fleet stands at 272 aircraft, including 261 passenger and 11 cargo planes, with 372 on order. The Emirates fleet comprises 116 Airbus A380s, 119 Boeing 777-300 ERs, 10 Boeing 777-200 LRs, 11 Boeing 777Fs, and 16 new Airbus A350s. Emirates has 57 Airbus A350-900s, 270 Boeing 777-9s, 15 Boeing 787-10s, 20 Boeing 787-8s, and 10 Boeing freighters on order. FlyDubai operates a unified fleet of 97 Boeing 737s, comprising 26 new Boeing 737-800s, 68 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, and three Boeing 737 MAX 9s.
