The Federal Tax Authority announced that the number of approved applications from citizens who recovered value-added tax (VAT) they paid on building their newly constructed homes exceeded 7,200 requests last year, with a total value of 646 million dirhams. Khalid Ali Al Bastani, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, said: "We always ensure that continuous attention to elevating family-related services remains at the forefront of the Authority's priorities, especially the service of recovering tax paid on the construction of citizens' newly built homes, which is continuously developed with the latest digital systems."
