Water and Job Opportunities

The water industry is directly linked to job creation, fostering sustainable development. Around two billion people worldwide work in water-related sectors, including agriculture, construction, and tourism. World Water Day is celebrated annually on March 22.

Water and Job Opportunities

With the slogan 'Water and Job Opportunities', the water industry has been linked to the availability of jobs, achieving what is known as sustainable development. No matter how much we talk about goods and basic materials, they cannot compare to water. There are also sectors indirectly related to water, such as tourism, construction, and food. Industrial expansion is important for growth and development, but it must occur within the criteria of good water availability and respect for environmental conditions. According to United Nations statistics, half of the world's workers, or about two billion people, work in water-related sectors such as irrigation and agriculture, in water treatment, maintenance, and purification, and in hydraulic engineering, as well as in all related research and development. March 22 of each year is World Water Day.
