Majid Al Meri, Executive Director of the Land Department in Dubai, announced during a press conference on the sidelines of the 'PropTech' real estate tech summit, being held in Dubai for the first time, about a new initiative. The 'First Buyer' initiative allows residents to purchase their first property through discounts offered by developers and financing facilities from banks. He also announced that eight new real estate developers have joined the initiative's second phase. Al Meri added that work is currently underway to include Dubai's visitors and non-residents in the emirate within the 'First Buyer' initiative, launched in cooperation with the private sector and the Department of Economy and Tourism. He stated that the number of registrants for the initiative has exceeded 40,000 people.
