Emirates celebrated the Week of Emirati-Kuwaiti Relations through a series of special initiatives on its flights. The airline offered a special selection of traditional desserts across all travel classes on its 30 weekly flights between Dubai and Kuwait. It also featured special onboard advertisements highlighting the significance of the occasion, while announcing it has transported over 16 million passengers on more than 81,000 flights to and from Kuwait over 30 years. Throughout the week, the airline showcased a curated collection of works by famous Kuwaiti artists, along with a selection of music albums from top Kuwaiti singers. Emirates highlighted that on February 2nd, flight EK 855 was captained by Kuwaiti national Captain Hussein Abdulmohsen, alongside an Emirati First Officer, Isaac Abdullah, in a symbolic gesture reflecting the spirit of cooperation, shared values, and deep-rooted partnership between the two nations and their peoples. The airline noted that Kuwait was one of the first Gulf destinations in its network, with services launched in 1989 with just two flights per week. Today, it operates 29 out of 30 weekly flights. Over the past three decades, Emirates has carried over 16 million passengers on more than 81,000 flights to and from Kuwait, connecting travelers from Dubai and beyond to over 150 global destinations. The Emirates Skywards loyalty program has over 268,000 members from Kuwait.
