Data from the Dubai Department of Tourism and Economy shows that the emirate received, for the first time, over two million international tourists in December 2025, setting the highest tourist flow on record for a single month. During 2025, the city was visited by approximately three million Gulf tourists. According to data obtained by 'Emirates Today', the number of international tourists last December reached 2.04 million, compared to 1.85 million in November 2025, a growth rate of 10.3%. This means Dubai received an average of about 65,800 tourists daily, or 2,742 tourists per hour. These figures show that the number of tourists in one month is almost half the population of Dubai, meaning that for every two residents of Dubai, one tourist visited the city during that month alone. The data also shows growth in all performance indicators in Dubai's hospitality sector, including the number of international tourists, average room rate, average daily price, overall occupancy rate, hotel market size, number of tourist nights, and average length of stay per tourist. As for the source of visitors by geographic region, the 'Australasia' region recorded the highest growth rate of 11.3% in tourist numbers in 2025 compared to 2024, with around 401,000 tourists. The 'CIS and Eastern Europe' region grew by 10%, reaching 2.89 million tourists. Western Europe grew by 9.6% with a rate of 4.1 million tourists, followed by the Gulf Cooperation Council countries with a growth rate of 9.3% and a rate reaching nearly three million Gulf tourists.
