Dubai South has announced the appointment of 'Mohamed Abdul Mohsen Al Khourafi and Sons' on a two-billion-dirham contract to develop several phases of the 'Life from Dubai South' project. This is a comprehensive residential community spanning 10 million square feet. The project is strategically located near Al Maktoum International Airport. It is designed as an integrated community that provides a balanced lifestyle within a carefully studied environment, supported by a comprehensive range of facilities inspired by the concept of health and wellness. The residential units in 'Life' feature modern architectural designs based on simplicity and spaciousness, offering residents high levels of privacy and flexibility, alongside contemporary living spaces. The project will also include a commercial center and a walkway with a variety of shops, cafes, and essential services, as well as lakes within the master plan. 'Life' enjoys direct and seamless connectivity to the main road network and key business hubs, including Al Maktoum International Airport, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Emirates Road, Jebel Ali Free Zone, and Dubai South Free Zone, making it an ideal destination for families and employees. The complex also hosts the 'James Founders' school, while a commercial center with an area of 200,000 square feet is currently under development. The project includes approximately 2,500 diverse residential units, including townhouses, semi-detached villas, standalone villas, luxury homes, and residential apartments, as well as hotel apartments, with layouts ranging from one to five bedrooms. The project also offers a wide range of facilities designed to enhance quality of life, including green gardens, shaded walkways, family play areas, outdoor activity spaces, as well as fitness and wellness facilities, pools, and relaxation areas. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with the first phases to be delivered by 2028.
