Dubai, UAE — The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) Free Zone has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 'Wio Bank' to provide digital banking solutions and integrated financial services for companies operating within its jurisdiction. This collaboration aims to facilitate access to banking services for companies seeking to establish or already operating in the free zone, thereby enhancing the support ecosystem for entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses. Under the agreement, companies registered or looking to register within the DWTC Free Zone will benefit from the digital banking solutions offered by Wio Bank as part of the integrated services available to licensed entities. Wio Bank will offer streamlined account opening processes, priority processing for membership applications, and dedicated support for qualified client relationship management, contributing to easier access to banking services during company setup and onboarding phases. Abdullah Bina, Vice President of Regulatory Operations at the DWTC Free Zone, stated that enhancing ease of doing business is a primary priority for the free zone. He emphasized that through this partnership, they aim to expand the integrated services available to companies within their free zone, enabling them to establish and grow with greater efficiency and reinforcing Dubai's position as a global hub for entrepreneurship and investment. Meanwhile, Prateek Vahi, Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Affairs at Wio Bank, mentioned that the collaboration with the DWTC Free Zone allows the bank to significantly support companies at the stage they need it most, by offering faster onboarding procedures, dedicated relationship support, and digital banking tools. As part of this cooperation, Wio Bank will explore opportunities to launch a co-branded corporate card bearing the logos of both the bank and the DWTC Free Zone, offering exclusive benefits and rewards designed specifically for companies operating within this integrated ecosystem.
