This approach caters to modern travel patterns. The hotel is developing a digital pre-registration system to streamline the check-in process and reduce waiting times. There is a clear interest from business travelers and families, with dedicated operational mechanisms to ensure smooth procedures. Mohsin Shimi, Regional Director of Sales for Marriott and St. Regis hotels in Abu Dhabi, mentioned that the hotel sector is gradually returning to activity, expanding guest facilitations, especially regarding flexibility in time management and early/late check-in and check-out. This has become a key element of the guest experience amid flight schedule disruptions. Check-in procedures have become faster and more efficient, often completed in a short time. This flexibility enhances the guest experience, giving them greater control over their schedules, particularly business travelers. It also helps increase occupancy and bookings through online platforms, with a rise in repeat stays due to customer satisfaction. These amenities contribute to higher occupancy and guest satisfaction, especially among families, leading to an increase in repeat stays thanks to the comfort and time flexibility they provide. Waileh Al-Bahai, General Manager of the Copthorne Dubai hotel, said the hotel follows flexible check-in and check-out policies to improve the guest experience without compromising efficiency. It allows for early check-in from 10:00 AM instead of 2:00 PM and late check-out until 3:00 PM instead of 12:00 PM, free of charge, subject to availability and room occupancy. This flexibility helps meet the demand for short stays, increasing guest satisfaction and the likelihood of repeat visits, especially from corporate clients and direct bookings. The hotel also offers check-in from 12:00 PM with the option to extend the stay until 6:00 PM, along with greater flexibility in connecting family rooms for up to 24 hours. UAE hotels are witnessing a swift transformation in how they manage the guest experience, expanding the adoption of flexible policies for check-in and check-out times to keep up with changing travel habits and the growing demand for short and rapid stays. Hotel managers reported that time has become one of the most important factors in booking decisions, as travelers increasingly rely on short trips and unconventional flight schedules. This has pushed the hospitality sector to redesign its services, ensuring greater flexibility for arrival and departure and giving guests more control over their stay duration. They noted that these policies have become a competitive tool, boosting guest satisfaction, increasing occupancy, and encouraging repeat stays, supported by digital solutions that improve process efficiency. Waleed Awad, General Manager of the Tamani Marina hotel in Dubai, said the hotel offers early check-in and late check-out options based on room availability, with the possibility of extending the stay for a fee. He explained that by expanding early and late check-out options and adopting some 24-hour stay policies, hotels provide guests with greater freedom in managing their time. He added that this transformation enhances guest satisfaction and offers a more tailored experience, and has become a significant factor in booking decisions amidst changing flight schedules and the rise of quick trips and short visits. Fadi Ibrahim, manager of the Nest hotel in Sharjah, stated that flexible check-in and check-out options are being implemented to improve the guest experience and enhance service quality. He emphasized that a balance is maintained between flexibility, operational efficiency, and revenue through intelligent room management.
