UAE Stocks Extend Gains on Middle East Peace Hopes

UAE stocks extended their gains at the start of Wednesday's trading, with buying accelerating on hopes of an end to the Middle East war after talks of extending peace negotiations. The Abu Dhabi market index rose 0.6% to 9899 points, while the Dubai market index climbed 1.4% to 5799 points. In Dubai, shares of Emaar Property jumped 2.5% to 12.3 dirhams, Emaar Development rose 2.6% to 15.4 dirhams, Emirates NBD gained 2.26% to 30.68 dirhams, and Air Arabia increased 2% to 4.87 dirhams. On the capital's market, shares of Aldar Properties rose 2.6% to 8.62 dirhams, First Abu Dhabi Bank gained 0.6% to 18.6 dirhams, and Commercial Bank of Abu Dhabi increased 1% to 13.18 dirhams.
