Dubai Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry's branch in North Al Batinah Governorate, organized a dialogue seminar to enhance logistical cooperation between the business communities of Dubai and the Sultanate of Oman, with the participation of over 360 representatives of private sector companies. Participating in the seminar were Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, and Engineer Saeed bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry's branch in North Al Batinah. The seminar featured an open dialogue to discuss emerging opportunities and ways to enhance joint cooperation to develop effective solutions that support companies' ability to deal with the ongoing challenges in global supply chains, thereby facilitating the smooth flow of cross-border trade. The seminar saw the participation of officials from Sohar Port, Oman Logistics Center, the Logistics City in the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to the General Administration of Customs at Royal Oman Police, as well as specialized companies in transport and shipping in Oman, alongside representatives of several companies operating in Dubai across a variety of business sectors. The seminar is part of Dubai Chambers' efforts to enhance the flexibility of cross-border trade with the Sultanate of Oman. Earlier this month, a delegation from the chambers visited Sohar in North Al Batinah Governorate, where a meeting was held with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch to develop bilateral cooperation mechanisms between the business communities of Dubai and Sohar in priority sectors, contributing to building quality opportunities for companies and boosting trade exchange. The delegation also visited Sohar Industrial Port and Sohar Industrial City (Madayn), where discussions focused on enhancing the smooth flow of goods and increasing the efficiency of cross-border supply chains, as well as developing the logistical integration between Dubai and Sohar.
