DMCC Sustainability Hub Enhances Support for Members

The DMCC Sustainability Hub in Dubai has signed numerous agreements to bolster sustainability services for its members, promoting emission reduction in line with UAE's Net Zero 2050 goals. Key partnerships with industry leaders will provide access to crucial tools and resources for effective ESG practices.


DMCC Sustainability Hub Enhances Support for Members

DMCC's Sustainability Hub, aimed at supporting almost 25,000 members, has recently partnered with S&P Global Market Intelligence, Earthly, and Climate Essentials. These agreements will provide members with exclusive access to sustainability reporting, carbon offsetting tools, and networks to help set emission reduction targets in line with UAE Net Zero 2050 goals.

The DMCC Sustainability Hub, launched in March 2024, is a network within DMCC's business district dedicated to driving meaningful ESG change. By offering resources to deepen businesses' understanding of their ESG practices and reduce carbon emissions, the Hub aims to support the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 ambitions.

Lorenzo Curci, Co-founder and CCO of Earthly, expressed excitement about the partnership with DMCC Sustainability Hub, highlighting Earthly's focus on nature-based projects to help meet sustainability goals and combat climate change.

Daniela Menzky, Founder and CEO of Climate Essentials, also emphasized the importance of the collaboration with DMCC Sustainability Hub. The agreements aim to provide members with access to leading sustainability assessment tools, such as the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, and tools to calculate carbon footprints and manage carbon emissions effectively.

Feryal Ahmadi, Chief Operating Officer of DMCC, underlined the Hub's mission of supporting members in achieving long-term emissions reduction targets and complying with global reporting frameworks. The Hub offers various tools and resources to facilitate sustainability performance reporting and access to verified carbon offset projects.

In addition to providing essential tools for ESG management, the Hub offers networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and access to finance through ESG-focused venture capital companies and accelerator programs. The partnership agreements aim to empower businesses to address climate action effectively and contribute to global sustainability efforts.
