The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority translates the ambitious visions and the development witnessed by Dubai into huge projects in the fields of energy and water. Among these giant projects is the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which will be the largest solar energy complex in the world with a production capacity exceeding 5000 megawatts by 2030.
In this context, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the managing director and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, emphasized the importance of enhancing strategic collaboration with American energy companies to benefit from modern technologies, improve performance efficiency, and enhance the quality of life. This is part of the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum aimed at benefiting from modern technologies to support Dubai's strategy for clean energy by 2050 and carbon neutrality by 2050.
The delegation that visited the sites in California, headed by Al Tayer, included visits to two solar energy projects combining solar photovoltaic panels with energy storage systems, aimed at learning about the best global practices in this field. The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is currently working on producing clean energy using various technologies, including solar photovoltaic panels and concentrated solar power technologies.
In his statement, Al Tayer affirmed the importance of exchanging expertise and developing technologies to enhance the efficiency and utilization of the electricity sector and reduce carbon emissions.
