Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work, emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence as a key element for achieving quality transformations in the quality of life and strengthening the global status of the UAE. He spoke at the opening of the "Global Oracle Cloud Forum" in the Dubai Trade Center, where he highlighted a radical turnaround made by the UAE in the last decade: from fishing and lack of infrastructure to competing with major countries in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence.
"What distinguishes the UAE today is that it has transitioned from these conditions to a global competitive position in the fields of space and artificial intelligence," Al Olama noted.
He added, "There were people who had the boldness to dream, and they did not limit resources or geographical boundaries. Our leadership and our people have demonstrated that there are neither too big dreams nor too hard paths."
Al Olama emphasized that investments in artificial intelligence are aimed at offering exceptional services to make the UAE a global model. He indicated that artificial intelligence in the UAE is not just technology, but an integral part of the infrastructure and everyday services.
He noted that the first step taken by the UAE is to invest in human capital. Al Olama expressed gratitude to the UAE's partners, who believed in the vision of the state and its innovations, as well as how technologies have become a global center of attention.
