During inspections in Dubai, cases of illegal transportation were detected related to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), including municipal buses, intercity buses, and marine transport. Additionally, the RTA monitored other types of transport, such as rented buses, school transport, international transfers, and even bus stops with air conditioning.
According to the words of the Director of Passenger Transport Monitoring at the RTA, Saeed Al Balushi, various services, including the Federal Identification and Citizenship Authority, customs, port security services, and the Dubai Police Department were involved during the RTA's inspection campaigns.
The RTA inspection campaigns in Dubai are aimed at controlling illegal actions, violations, and unacceptable behavior, which, according to the owners, can cause damage to the tourism reputation of the emirate as a global tourist destination providing high-quality services to residents, visitors, and tourists from all over the world.
These inspections are part of the RTA's program to organize daily passenger transfers in Dubai and ensure more straightforward and sustainable mobility every day. Paying attention to violations in the area of all passenger transfers, in 2024, the RTA conducted 25 inspections, resulting in more than 606,430 trips inspected to detect passenger violations.
