
A working group, including the Professional Fighters League (PFL), the Department of Economy and Tourism of Dubai, and the Sports Council of Dubai, has completed the official weight checking procedures for the fighters participating in the "Path to Dubai" tournament as part of the "Champions" series, which will take place tomorrow, on Saturday, at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai.
The events took place in a wave-like atmosphere, when fighters were weighed in front of viewers, preparing for the bouts that will start on Saturday evening. 22 fighters from 13 countries will compete in 11 scheduled bouts. The main event of the evening will unite the champion from Russia, Otmana Nurmagomedov, and the Irishman, Paul Hughes, in a long-awaited lightweight confrontation in front of a large audience.
Among other bouts, Russian Vadim Nemkov stands out against American Tim Johnson in the heavyweight division. It is expected that the fight will showcase the strength and skill between two of the premier fighters in the global arena. In the category of light heavyweight, Russian Akhmed Magomedov will meet Irishman Nathan Kelly, while in the lightweight category, there will be a match between Dagestan's Ibragim Ibragimov and Irishman Kenny McKenna.
The tournament will also feature scheduled bouts in the categories of welterweight, middleweight, heavyweight, and lightweight with fighters from various countries participating. Among the scheduled fights, there is a bout between Emirati Khalid Omar al-Husseini and Filipino Roilo Panaligan, as well as a clash between Saudi Muzaffar Ndoe and Briton Haider Khan in the middleweight category.
