The UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 in Dubai will feature 120 teams, including six new entries from various countries. The event runs from February 1-5 and showcases global elite police teams in various tactical competitions.


UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 Expands to 120 Teams

The Dubai Police's UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 will have 120 teams participating, marking an increase with the addition of six new teams. Among the new entries are squads from the US, Russia, Tajikistan, Armenia, and two teams from Brunei. This development raised the total number of countries taking part in the event to 50, spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The UAE SWAT Challenge is scheduled to run from February 1 to 5 at the Al Ruwayyah Training City.

This year's edition of the challenge is deemed the largest since its inception in 2019. A total prize fund of $260,000 is at stake for elite specialized police units from around the world. Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations, highlighted the event's substantial growth and its growing global reputation as a reflection of Dubai's expertise in hosting top-tier international events.

The various specialized events lined up for the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 include the Tactical Operations Challenge, Assault Challenge, Officer Rescue Competition, High Tower Challenge, and Obstacle Course. The organizing committee has put all logistics and on-ground preparations in place to welcome the teams as they start arriving in the country.

Members of the public are invited to spectate the competition over the five days and cheer for their respective nations. Among the participants, the Philippine team will be included in the tournament. This year's UAE SWAT Challenge promises a high level of competition and a showcase of skills from top law enforcement units across the globe.
